from radiation today!!!
Yeah - I am a survivor!!!
No more driving back and forth everyday to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Things are going well - my skin is starting to peel, but now that I am done with radiation it should start to heal!
The pains are still there, but farther apart now.
I never really got fatigued during the whole 6 weeks, but I did get emotional and sometimes crabby!!
I still have alot of sleepless nights, but the Ambien helps.
I am so greatful to everyone that took care of me in the Radiation Department and will continue to thank them all.
I met some wonderful people - both patients and staff - and I will remember you ALL!!!
It's funny how I am not afraid to talk to complete strangers about cancer.
Usually "cancer" is not a subject people even want to discuss, but I guess when it is happening to you it is easier to educate other people. Whether it is breast, colon, cervical, brain, blood, bone, etc., it is cancer and NEEDS to be talked about so they can continue to do research and to try to find a cure.
If you know someone that has cancer, let them talk and really listen to their journey.
It will help them to release their thoughts and feeling and will help you to understand what is going on. You will BOTH feel better!
