Photos below.......

.........are from after the surgery. Later today I will be able to remove the bandages and take photos of the surgery sites and then I will post them.

I hope that the photos don't make it hard to read to blog, because I want you to see what it REALLY looks like. You can see drawings of it on other web sites, but this is the TRUE look of what actually happened to me.

I will NOT, however, show you the fact that my left nipple has turned blue from the dye injection. (That's right, part of me is "smurf-errific"!!) They injected dye into me and it traveled to the sentinal node so that it was easier for them to find. (Afterwards, the dye was released out of my system through urination.) Why did it remain in my nipple, and how long will it take to diminish? I will have to let you know when I figure out the answer. But so far I am going on day 3 of it being a light blue.

My arm is still abit stiff, and I am not allowed to lift anything over 10 pounds. I don't take my pain medication, because I am not in that much pain and it would probably make me really tired and groggy. Just regular tylenol is all I am taking.
I try to stretch it out as much as I can, but I am not allowed to lift it over my head. I am sure that I will be able to move it better after my bandages are off.

As far as the surgery - Everything is negative!
The tumor is gone.
Edges of tumor space are negative for cancer and
the lymph nodes are negative for cancer.
