Radiation started on Monday 07/23/2007

........and it seems to be going well.

No pain involved here...........so far.

I lay down on this sort of table.
They position me where they need me to be (where the markers on my chest tell them to be) and they leave the room.
They turn on the machine - they tell me I cannot move - it doesn't hurt and I really don't even feel anything.

My radiation therapists names are Tracy and Chris.
They are both very nice and let me know everything they are going to do.

I am in the room about 15 minutes total, but the radiation part only takes about 5 minutes.

They say that I might feel tired, towards the end of my treatments.

My breast may get abit red - like sunburn - and be firm and sore, but I am putting pure aloe vera on it every night before bed. (That is what they recommend) and hopefully it will spare me the "sunburn pain".

For the life of me I cannot imagine what a sunburned breast must feel like!!

I really don't want to know either!!

I see Dr Fernando every wednesday for a check-up just to make sure nothing bad is going on with my breast and to see if I have any concerns.

6 weeks of radiation (everyday - mon-fri ) and I am all done.
